Fraser Valley Regional Library: private space across 15 libraries
Fraser Valley Public Library
01
Project overview
Fraser Valley Regional Library is British Columbia's largest public library system: 25 libraries serving almost 911,000 people. Its most common request had become one it couldn't easily answer: where can I find somewhere quiet? Most branches have few or no bookable rooms, and customers needed private space for video interviews, online exams, telehealth calls, podcasting and relief from sensory overload.
After testing pods at our Vancouver showroom, FVRL chose the One+ Focus, a 1-person "micro-office" with an integrated desk, ergonomic chair and built-in power that fits libraries of very different sizes and layouts. We planned each site individually, including tight entrances and limited assembly space, and installed all 15 pods within a two-week window. After delivery, our technicians worked with FVRL's IT team to route power internally for the tablet booking system, leaving no visible wiring.
FVRL paired the pods with an online booking system: customers check availability across every participating library, book an hour from home and enter a code on arrival. Customers completed 412 bookings in the first month after the June 2026 launch. One stepped out of a video call and announced: "I got the job."
No renovation and no new rooms, just private space inside the footprint FVRL already had.
