Project overview
Inchcape plc refurbished its office at 22A St James's Square, London, rather than relocating, focusing on a furniture strategy for 10,000 sq ft across two floors. Fluid was appointed to lead this project, which prioritized maximizing existing assets while minimizing disruption, as the building remained occupied throughout the renovation. The approach involved careful phasing and a strategy emphasizing the reuse of existing furniture, which aimed to align the office environment with contemporary business needs and workflows.
The project included a reorganization of the open-plan space, replacing individual desks with smaller units to increase workstation density. This allowed for the creation of various settings for collaboration, enhancing the office's functionality. Fluid partnered with Zentura for the fit-out works, delivering the project a week ahead of schedule and within budget, while successfully minimizing waste through furniture reuse.
