Fit-Out case study
Steinway Hall
Steinway & Sons

Project overview
Located on Marylebone Lane in London's West End, this 5,000 sq ft refurbishment presented an opportunity to reimagine Steinway Hall, enhancing its showroom, hospitality areas and artist facilities while preserving the character and heritage of the world-renowned piano brand.
Steinway & Sons appointed Workplace Creations to deliver a considered transformation that would strengthen the building's street presence, improve the visitor experience and create a more functional environment for customers, staff, artists and ambassadors.
Delivered over six weeks through the Core Works division, the project involved upgrading the external façade, introducing new feature lighting and refreshing the ground floor showroom. Careful coordination was essential, with Steinway Hall remaining fully operational throughout the works, ahead of its 150th anniversary celebrations in December 2025.
The transformation also extended to the lower ground floor, with upgraded welfare facilities, a new kitchen and improved practice spaces for artists and ambassadors. Rich timber tones, dark metal accents and gold detailing reinforced the brand's premium identity, creating an elegant, welcoming destination that celebrates Steinway & Sons' craftsmanship and heritage.
