Host MediaCity Office Fit-Out

Project overview

ADT Workplace was appointed to transform an underutilised area on the sixth floor of Blue Tower at MediaCityUK into a dynamic, multifunctional workplace for Host, a technology and innovation hub operated by Salford City Council. Following ADT's successful work for x+why nearby, Host appointed the team directly to lead the full design and delivery process. The brief called for an open and inclusive environment capable of supporting informal working, meetings, staff welfare and events. ADT introduced contemporary furniture, vibrant finishes, integrated LED signage and audiovisual technology to reflect Host's bold, technology-led identity. Smart zoning was used to maximise the relatively compact footprint, with different flooring finishes defining circulation, quieter meeting and collaboration areas and the social tea point without relying heavily on physical partitions. Existing elements were retained and refreshed where possible to reduce waste, while existing joinery was repurposed to create semi-private breakout areas. The finished workplace provides Host with a flexible environment supporting hybrid working, collaboration, events and its wider technology community.
