Project overview

Addleshaw Goddard, named ‘Law Firm of the Year’ in 2025, appointed ClearSpace as Move Managers for the relocation of its London headquarters from 60 Chiswell Street to 41 Lothbury, a landmark listed building dating back to 1834 and formerly the headquarters of NatWest Bank. The move marked the firm’s first London relocation in nearly two decades and involved approximately 650 staff, with a challenging four-week window to vacate and clear the existing premises and a phased relocation programme delivered over three weeks. Despite complex access constraints at the new building, ClearSpace successfully managed the planning, logistics and on-site delivery, coordinating the relocation of specialist catering equipment, back-office materials, stored items and personal effects. Alongside the physical move, ClearSpace implemented a sustainable furniture clearance strategy, prioritising the reuse of selected furniture within the new workplace, resale of surplus items into the secondary market and charitable donations wherever possible. The project was successfully delivered within the compressed programme, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while diverting furniture from landfill and providing a clear audit trail to support sustainability reporting. Building on this successful partnership, ClearSpace also relocated 140 staff in Dublin in February 2025 and completed Addleshaw Goddard’s Glasgow relocation in January 2026.
