Two Workspace Cultures Becoming One

Project overview

Pernod Ricard UK, Chivas Brothers and Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail appointed ClearSpace to manage the consolidation of their existing offices into a single, integrated workplace, bringing together different working cultures, processes and employees under one roof. The project involved relocating 608 employees and managing the clearance of two existing locations, including desktop IT equipment, filing, stock, point-of-sale materials, furniture and documentation. ClearSpace developed and delivered a comprehensive move management strategy, coordinating office clearances, asset relocation, storage solutions and the repurposing of existing furniture to support the new workplace configuration. When the COVID-19 lockdown introduced additional challenges, ClearSpace quickly adapted its approach to remote project management, conducting virtual employee consultations and coordinating the distribution of IT equipment and furniture to support home working. The team also implemented a new personal locker allocation system, helping to reduce office clutter and improve operational efficiency within the consolidated workplace. Despite the challenges, the project was successfully delivered on time with minimal disruption to business operations, resulting in the clearance of 69 tonnes of material across both locations and the removal and recycling of 81,600 litres of wet stock. ClearSpace's flexible and coordinated approach enabled Pernod Ricard to achieve a more streamlined, efficient and integrated working environment while supporting its wider workplace transformation objectives.
